A customer contacted us with a 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan equipped with a faulty MED17.5.2 engine control unit (ECU). Instead of purchasing a brand-new ECU, the customer found a suitable used replacement module at a local junk yard.
The used ECU needed to be properly programmed and adapted to the vehicle. We completed the procedure using ODIS Service with online GEKO access, allowing us to perform the required factory-level programming and adaptation procedures.
The ECU programming was completed within a short period of time, and the replacement module was successfully prepared for the vehicle.
