Another successful Mercedes-Benz All Keys Lost (AKL) job completed by Vancouver Key Rescue. This time, we helped a customer with a 2014 Mercedes-Benz C350 W204 who had lost all keys to the vehicle. When every key is lost, the recovery procedure depends on the vehicle’s electronic security system and the programming methods supported by that particular model. Although several approaches may be available for the W204 platform, the standard OBD programming method did not work in this case.
Mercedes-Benz W204 — EIS/EZS Bench Programming
To complete the job, we removed the electronic ignition switch (EIS/EZS) from the vehicle and performed the required programming procedure in bench mode.
The work included:
• Removing the EIS/EZS electronic ignition module.
• Reading the required security data and obtaining the password.
• Preparing and programming a new Mercedes-Benz key.
• Deactivating the previously registered keys.
• Reinstalling the module and checking the vehicle’s operation.
After programming was completed, we reassembled the vehicle and verified the result.
