A client contacted us after purchasing a 2014 Honda Civic from an auction. The vehicle arrived without any keys, which is a common situation for auction vehicles.
This particular Honda Civic is equipped with a Smart Key system, meaning the car uses push-to-start ignition instead of a traditional metal key. In cases like this, simply cutting a key is not enough — the vehicle requires professional diagnostic equipment to access the immobilizer system and program new smart keys.

Our technicians performed a full immobilizer system scan and prepared a new smart key compatible with the vehicle. Using professional programming tools, we successfully registered the new key to the car’s security system and synchronized it with the push-button start module.
After programming was completed, the new smart key was fully tested. The vehicle started normally and all remote functions operated correctly.

If you purchased a vehicle from an auction without keys or lost all keys to your Honda, we can help. We provide all keys lost service, smart key programming, and automotive locksmith solutions in Surrey and Vancouver BC.
